Sure the turkey is packed full of protein and there may be green beans or other vegetables. Then again there is pie and macaroni and cheese and all that other stuff that is good for your taste but not your waist. What do you do? Well you can be bold and avoid all those foods and eat clean. So while your family enjoys that entire feast you will enjoy turkey, steamed broccoli and…ok I’ll stop now because this doesn’t sound like much fun.The thing is some people can avoid all this and eat clean. NOT SO DIET…DRINKS
So usually when people want to lose weight or want to avoid gaining weight they turn to diet drinks. The most popular being diet soft drinks which are in most every case sweetened with some type of artificial sweetener instead of sugar or corn syrup. This is a huge break from waist expanding sugar filled calorie bomb that soft drinks can be. However they may not necessarily be a better choice. BREAKING THE SECRET
Go to any newsstand and check out the pop culture section. You are guaranteed to be inundated with multiple headlines about how some celebrity got in shape. “The (insert celebrity name) super diet.” Or how about “How (insert name) slimmed down.” Sadly people look up to celebrities for a variety of reasons. Some reasons are good but many more aren’t. Just like their positions, salaries and love lives, people are fascinated with celebrity diet and fitness secrets. The magazines know this and cash in. Herein lies the problem. This is all too similar to the television infomercials selling the next best fitness contraption. It is misleading and deceptive. You may be saying, “Alright but look at so and so. They’re in great shape; they must know what they’re doing.” Not necessarily, but someone … Read entire article »
